The backbone of CrossFit Pushin Weight is traditional CrossFit workouts, focusing on strength, conditioning, and mobility. These workouts combine gymnastics, weightlifting, and metabolic conditioning in varying degrees and durations to create unparalleled results. From the basic air squat all the way to the very technical muscle up and Olympic lifts, we utilize them all and make it workable for anyone at any level of fitness. We build strength, endurance, agility, technical ability, and general awareness of body and mind by training movements that support functional ability and translate to real life. And of course, there are the aesthetic benefits, too.

LHO Barbell is pleased to be able to operate out of CrossFit Pushin Weight in Powhatan, VA. Our training area holds 4 platforms, Eleiko and Rogue Weightlifting bars and Rogue adjustable jerk blocks. We work with functional fitness athletes to improve their technique so they can fitness better as well as having a competitive weightlifting team. Team training is reserved for those who are interested in competing in weightlifting.
Our mission at LHO is to empower every athlete to reach their goals which we believe starts with a solid technical foundation.
Khepri Atkinson heads up LHO as the weightlifting coach. Personal training is available from Khepri on a limited basis.
Every new CrossFitter at our gym begins in our Fundamentals course. If you want to jump right into classes without a coach getting to know you, your goals or your movement patterns then we aren’t the gym for you. There are plenty of gyms that will allow you right into group classes - but we get to know you, your limitations, & your expectations in order to keep you safe, motivated and focused. The FUNdamental course consists of 5 one-on-one personal training sessions. During these sessions, you will learn the basic movement patterns and standards that we use in all of our CrossFit group classes, which will help you move safely and effectively in order to better meet your health and fitness goals.
Women's Barbell Club
Our Women’s Barbell Club is a bit of social time and a big of lifting time. We start with checking in with each other and drinking some coffee. The group then moves to warm up to get ready for technique work aimed at improving the classic Olympic lifts, the snatch and the clean and jerk.
This time is about community and learning. All levels are welcome. Experience how empowering it can be to get familiar with the barbell, and with a group of amazing, powerful, driven women. Find friendly competition and lasting friendships based on a healthy, positive lifestyle, and find the support that makes training fun.
This class is scheduled on a month by month basis.
Our personal training sessions are the most effective and efficient way to achieve your personal fitness goals, whether you're just starting out on your fitness journey, or an experienced athlete looking to become a more well-rounded athlete with specialized, individual training. Our world-class coaches will work with you to help define your goals, develop a specific program and be your personal guide.
Exclusive Coaching Powerlifting/ Olympic Weightlifting/ Strongman
The Exclusive Coaching program at CFPW8 is one of the most effective ways to meet your strength goals, or just optimize your potential and accelerate your training. The focus is on you and you only. You will be paired with one of our world-class coaches who will design a personalized program that will most effectively and efficiently guide you to reach your goals in your strength sport of choice, whether it's powerlifting, Olympic weightlifting, or strongman.
This class is all about developing healthy and functional movement patterns for kids ages 5-11. We teach the basics of safe squatting, deadlifting, and overhead movement through games, play, and targeted instruction.
We also cover other age-appropriate healthy fundamentals such as the importance of a good warm-up, hydration, healthy nutrition, and positive body image.
PUSHIN HEALTH - Nutrition Coaching
Our coaching program is about meeting you where you are. It is not detoxes, cleanses or crazy protocols. Its finding the practices and habits to help you get to your health and body composition goals. We have several different coaching options available depending on how much support and information you need.
Did you miss a training session? Need to work on a skill before class? Come on in and get it done. Open Gym allows you to make the most of our tools and fitness community. It’s free time for "Members Only" who wish to make up a WOD, work on mobility, or add strength work. Whatever the goal, put your free time to good use!
